The 13th ACES Annual International Symposium is an internationally-recognised research symposium which showcases the range of research activities conducted within ACES. Established in 2014, ACES is a research network which spans 6 research institutions within Australia (University of Wollongong, Monash University, Deakin University, University of Melbourne, Australian National University, and the University of Tasmania) and 4 institutions from abroad (Friedrich-Alexander University, University of Warwick, Hanyang University, and Yokohama National University). The goal of ACES is to draw on the world-leading expertise and knowledge in electromaterials science to develop the next generation of ‘smart devices’. The research within ACES covers a range of topics including energy storage, soft robotics, and electrofluidics with a focus on providing commercially relevant outcomes and public policy development in the energy and health sectors.
